My client based in Darlington is looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their team on a long term, contract basis

The suitable candidate should be time served in a Mechanical discipline, preferably with experience of working on a top tier COMAH site, and able to demonstrate a wide range of technical skills, both practical and logical.

Duties include:

• To be responsible for the delivery of preventive/proactive maintenance of mechanical systems and sub support systems
• Attending to any reactive/corrective maintenance
• Fault finding and diagnostic work
• Maintaining rotating equipment, including pumps
• Installation of new systems/equipment
• Commissioning alongside operations or returning to service
• Fabrication of pipework, steelwork and plastics
• Adhering to strict health and safety at all times
• Work in a timely manner to reduce plant downtime by proposing and implementing improvements
• Be efficient and accurate with keeping written records of work conducted
• Be up to date on all legislative changes

Rate: £24-£27ph – we can offer PAYE or LTD payment options

Hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-4pm, Fri 8am-3:30pm

Role: Immediate start for the right candidate, long term contract
