About the role

We are recruiting a Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist to join the inpatient rehabilitation team at Meadowlands Rehabilitation Unit, Musgrave Park Hospital. This role will support rehabilitation, discharge planning and multidisciplinary working within a busy hospital setting.

Main duties

• Manage a specialist Occupational Therapy caseload within inpatient rehabilitation.
• Complete assessments, plan interventions and contribute to safe discharge planning.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team and support junior staff, students and service development.

Criteria

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration.
• Minimum two years’ post-qualification Occupational Therapy experience.
• Experience in adult rehabilitation, older people, physical disability or a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of seating, discharge pathways and rehabilitation assessments is desirable.
