We’re currently recruiting for a Planning Officer.

– Location: Ballymena or Derry/Londonderry
– Pay Rate: £16.90 per hour
– Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm)
– Contract: 3 months initially (01/09/2026 – 01/12/2026)

Key Responsibilities:

– Undertake land asset and site evaluation activities
– Support housing-led regeneration projects and new housing developments
– Carry out Site Identification and Feasibility Studies
– Complete Housing Market Analysis and Housing Need Statements
– Support the delivery of Housing Investment Plans
– Provide professional town planning advice
– Liaise with councils, stakeholders and community groups
– Produce reports and briefings on housing need and regeneration programmes

Essential Criteria:

– RTPI/IPI Recognised Town Planning Degree
– Strong IT skills, including proficiency in GIS (ArcMap)
– 1-5 years’ relevant planning experience
– Access NI Basic check required
