Senior Analyst (3-Month Remote Assignment)

As a Senior Analyst, you will play a vital role in providing essential analytics and reporting services, contributing to the trust’s operational excellence. Responsibilities:

  • Analytics & Reporting: Provide data, reporting, analysis, and insights across various healthcare areas, including statutory returns, internal reports, and ad hoc requests. Collaborate with Data Warehousing and Data Engineering team to automate processes and improve department efficiency.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize SQL and Excel to validate data, identify trends, and extract information from source systems. Create reports using SSRS and Power BI, ensuring accuracy through validation checks.
  • Automation: Automate routine processes, continually review and enhance processes, and deploy automated reporting solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Act as a subject matter expert for specific areas, complete regular reports, and provide expert advice. Ensure accurate submission of activity and waiting list returns.
  • Information Management: Interpret complex data, offer technical guidance, and advise on information management, data standards, and quality issues. Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues to enhance reporting.
  • Policy & Procedure Compliance: Interpret and implement local and national guidance, recommend policy changes, and ensure data handling complies with information governance, Caldicott, and data protection policies.
  • Meetings & Communication: Lead meetings to discuss technical and information matters, explain complex procedures, and present information for informed decision-making.
  • Team Management: Oversee a team of analysts, monitor performance, conduct appraisals, and facilitate communication within the team.
  • Resource Management: Report office problems and adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Information Resources: Develop plans for data collection, analysis, and reporting. Monitor information against quality standards and propose improvements.
