The Recruitment Co is seeking a Skilled Production Technician to join our food production client branded food business famous for flavour and as great as their brands are, their people are what makes them special. They are committed to making this factory a great place to work, grow & develop.

** Food Production experience is necessary **

This is a permanent position working Monday – Friday 06:00 – 14:00 & 14:00 – 22:00 rotating weekly

Salary: £28,689.40 with a further increase in December.

Duties:

As a Technician, you will work collaboratively with the team to adhere to and improve Health & Safety procedures, challenging where necessary.

• Working to agreed operating standards in the preparation of the products.
• Co-ordinate and supervise the supporting operatives whilst ensuring the highest standards of housekeeping, hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practices are achieved and maintained.
• You will also be required to maintain accurate process paperwork and monitor and record performance, reporting issues to engineers/Team Leaders.
• You will be responsible for carrying out first line investigations into any issues arising and will use judgement and initiative to maintain quality.
• You may also be asked to provide ad hoc operational cover.

• Be organised, conscientious and be confident in ability to operate machinery
• Be able handle a high level of responsibility, remaining calm and focused under pressure
• Have basic food hygiene trained in-house
• Have an awareness and understand of all CCP’s for the Line
• Have a high level of numeracy and literacy – demonstrate accuracy in paperwork and in calculations.
• Have good Communication skills – working collaboratively with operatives and the Team Leader
• Have excellent awareness of Health and Safety
• Have an excellent timekeeping and attendance records

The successful candidate will have a minimum 2 years working within the food manufacturing sector.
