Trainee Printing Operative (Branding Operative)
PF Concept UK Ltd. is seeking to attract ambitious production operatives keen to learn a trade in the printing industry. PF Concept offer trainees a comprehensive training and development plan, which charts your journey from entry level printer (L1) through to skilled printer (L4). During your training period you will be continually assessed; you will learn key printing skills; and how to work to quality standards and deadlines to ensure that all orders meet internal quality standards, resulting in zero issues at the packing stage. Communication is key, you will learn to identify quality issues early and escalate where appropriate in a timely manner. Success in this role is measured on individual performance and achievement of departmental KPIs.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotating shift basis – 6am-2pm in week 1 and then 2pm-10pm in week 2.

Role Specification

  • To adhere to all Company process requirements to ensure product is branded in line with Company standards and customer requirements.
  • To ensure machines are set to correct specification to ensure print quality.
  • To complete all planned work within set timescales.
  • To identify jobs which will not be completed to timescales and to understand the cause and effect of such inefficiencies and seek solutions.
  • To assess efficiencies of the machines within your department raising any maintenance issues via the Maintenance Process.
  • To complete H&S checks for your machine, supported by the relevant paperwork.
  • To safely operate machines, adhering to safe system of working for that machine.
  • To ensure that all colour palettes are pantone matched, utilising correct inks and additives per job.
  • To complete daily safety checks of machine in your area and advise maintenance of issues, escalate issues if they are not addressed within the 24hr SLA.
  • To wear Company-issued uniform and relevant PPE for the task in hand, observing all HSE and Company requirements at all times.
