The recruitment co are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner on a permanent basis to work in a family run company based in Peterlee.
Monday to Friday
Office Based
£30,000 – £33,000 depending on experience.
Duties include but not limited to:
Route Planning and optimisation – Planning drivers routes up to 48 hours in advance.
Load Coordination – Liaising with the relevant warehouse and distribution team.
Communicating and allocating daily work loads and routes to the drivers including any changes.
Checking and responding to emails.
Updating any records that are relevant to transport.
Reporting and liaising with head of operations.
Knowledge and experience
Experience within HGV transport planning is essential
CPC would be advantageous but not essential.

Able to work well under pressure
Self motivated
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
