My client, an industry leader in supply chain logistics, are currently seeking a talented and motivated Transport Planner to join our team in Hillington.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate transportation routes to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Utilise your in-depth knowledge of Scotland’s roads to optimise routes and minimise transportation costs.
• Collaborate with drivers and fleet managers to schedule deliveries and pickups.
• Monitor and track vehicle movements, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and delivery schedules.
• Analyse transportation data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to provide exceptional service.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations to maintain compliance and efficiency.

A perfect candidate would have:

• Previous knowledge of transport planning.
• Previous experience of working in a busy transport operation.
• Knowledge of Air and Road Logistics.
• Experience of working in a busy office environment.
• Adaptable and able to think on your feet.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Working 37.5 hours 5/7 days

Salary up to £32k based on experience
