Warehouse Operative – Band 2

– 37.5 Hours Per Week
– Monday to Friday with flexible start times between 6:00am and 8:00am

We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Warehouse Operatives to join a busy warehouse team based in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large logistics and distribution environment, supporting the receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of goods to customers across the Health & Social Care sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and storing stock deliveries.
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently.
• Using warehouse equipment and mechanical aids.
• Carrying out stock replenishment and stock checking duties.
• Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and health & safety standards.
• Assisting with the efficient movement and distribution of stock throughout the warehouse.

  Essential Criteria

• Minimum of 3 GCSEs (including English and Maths) or
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) plus 1 year’s relevant experience or
• At least 2 years’ experience in a stores or warehouse environment within the last 5 years.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety requirements.

Desirable Criteria

• Forklift licence.
• Experience using warehouse equipment and mechanical aids.
• IT or keyboard skills.
• Customer service awareness.
• Previous experience working in a busy warehouse or distribution environment.

The successful candidate will be hardworking, dependable and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, and candidates with a valid forklift licence are particularly encouraged to apply.
