The Recruitment Co are recruiting for a Cleaning Supervisor to work for a prestigious University based in Manchester City Centre.

Monday – Friday 8am-3:30pm

Salary: Grade 3 £24,248 to £25,742 per annum, depending on relevant experience

Hours: 35 hours per week

Overall Purpose of the Job

 To support the Assistant Domestic coordinator and to work cohesively with other
supervisory-management colleagues for the provision of domestic services within Halls of
Residence offering supportive and motivational supervision and guidance for the Domestic
Services team in their day-to-day tasks and responsibilities, in line with the agreed
standards of service.

Experience, Skills and Competencies

1-2 year’s supervisory experience is required and be knowledgeable in the FM industry.

 Experience of working with domestic services processes in a customer facing domestic
environment.
 A Good Understanding of Health and Safety Issues through appropriate training and
practice – including risk assessments, COSHH, Manual Handling.
 Experience of working in a process driven, team environment, demonstrating an ability to
be flexible and provide support for colleagues.
 Able to supervise staff, co-ordinate work activities, and train staff on the job.
 Good communication skills, demonstrating an ability to deal with a wide range of people,
 Flexible and responsive to customer needs and able to provide information and guidance,
whilst maintaining confidentiality.
 Good organisational skills, and able to prioritise work in a busy environment and meet strict
deadlines.
 Experience of working in a team environment and able to support colleagues in the delivery
of objectives.
 Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.
 Demonstrate the ability to identify problems and resolve issues effectively.
 Good computer skills with experience working with Excel, Word, and MS Outlook.
 Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing the student experience, excellent customer
service and to the University’s values and behaviours.

27 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and Christmas week off work
If you work any weekends you are paid at X1.5 for Saturdays and X2 for Sundays.

Duration: Fixed term from as soon as possible thereafter until 30 September 2025.
