Project Officer (Digital – Computer Aided)
Location: Lisburn
Pay Rate: £20.22 per hour
Duration: 6 Months (with possibility of extension)
Hours: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Project Officer (Digital – Computer Aided) on behalf of our client based in Lisburn. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project professional with a background in Digital or IT projects to support the delivery of a major Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system upgrade.
Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and key stakeholders, you will play a vital role in coordinating project activities, supporting system implementation, managing project documentation, and ensuring successful delivery of project objectives within agreed timescales and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning, implementation and delivery of the CAD system upgrade project.
- Assist with developing project documentation, specifications, requirements and implementation plans.
- Coordinate data migration, user acceptance testing (UAT), training activities and system rollout.
- Act as a key contact for contractors and stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
- Maintain project documentation including action logs, risk registers, issue logs and change controls.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and support mitigation activities.
- Support governance processes, project boards, working groups and stakeholder meetings.
- Assist with budget monitoring and project reporting.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Support the Senior Project Manager with project coordination, administration and delivery across the project lifecycle.
- Record and document lessons learned, ensuring continuous improvement throughout the project.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection requirements and organisational policies.
- Take minutes at meetings and provide administrative support as required.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following:
Option 1
- A Level 6 qualification (Degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as:
- Business Management
- Project Management
- Business Studies
- Information Technology
- Information Systems
- Systems Management
- Software Development
- Software Engineering
AND
- A minimum of 1 year’s relevant experience in a Project Support or Project Coordination role within Digital or IT projects.
Option 2
- A Level 5 qualification (HND or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as:
- Business Management
- Project Management
- Business Studies
- Information Technology
- Information Systems
- Systems Management
- Software Development
- Software Engineering
AND
- A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in a Project Support or Project Coordination role within Digital or IT projects.
