We are currently recruiting for a Project Officer (Digital) to join a high-profile digital transformation project within a public sector organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated project professional to support the delivery of a critical digital systems upgrade that plays a key role in emergency response and operational effectiveness.

The Role
As Project Officer, you will support the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of a major IT project. Working closely with senior project leads, technical specialists, contractors, and key stakeholders, you will help ensure project objectives are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of project plans
- Coordinate project activities and track progress against milestones
- Assist with stakeholder engagement and communications
- Maintain project documentation, action logs, risk registers, and change controls
- Support data migration, system implementation, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Prepare documentation and reports for governance meetings
- Monitor project risks and issues, ensuring actions are tracked and completed
- Assist with budget monitoring and project expenditure reporting
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Take meeting minutes and provide administrative support to the project team as required
Essential Criteria
Applicants must possess one of the following:
- A Level 6 qualification (Degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and at least 1 year’s experience in a project support or project coordination role within Digital/IT projects
OR
- A Level 5 qualification (HND or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and at least 2 years’ experience in a project support or project coordination role within Digital/IT projects.
You’ll Also Have
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience building productive relationships with stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience working within project management environments.
Additional Requirements
- Full UK/EU driving licence and access to transport for business use, or suitable alternative transport arrangements.
